This is a port city on the shore of Lake Victoria, it is the second largest city and the lake region’s economic heart, surrounded by hills strewn with enormous boulders as a result of its popularity by the name rock city among the locals. Lake Victoria which borders the country’s East African neighbors – Uganda to the northwest, and Kenya to the northeast is the core of the city’s attractions.

The best way to get to Mwanza is by flying to Mwanza airport, however, you can take a bus or hire private transportation to Mwanza

Tip: if taking a bus be sure it doesn't transit through the parks if it does you will be subjected to pay park entry fees.
