All Travellers visiting Tanzania need a tourist or business visa to enter Tanzania. Tanzania has introduced an ‘e-visas’ system through which applications can be submitted and approved online in advance of travel.

You may be asked to provide proof of your return journey. You will not be able to get a multiple-entry visa on arrival. For further information about visas visit the Tanzanian immigration website.
A tourist visa is available for 50$ for all countries with exception of the United States of America whose citizens will pay 100$. for those seeking to pay on arrival, it is best to have cash in US dollar bills not older than 2006

Applicants of Referral Visas are advised to apply at least two months before their date of travel. (see countries whose citizens would require a referral visa)

Vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in Tanzania, only if arriving from the yellow Fever Endemic zone. Yellow fever vaccination is required for all travelers arriving from or having transited for 12 or more hours through countries where yellow fever is endemic. Direct arrivals from non-endemic countries, including all countries in Europe and North America, are usually not required to show a Yellow fever vaccination certificate.
This is particularly relevant for those traveling from or passing through (stay of more than 12 hours) other neighboring countries, including members of the East African Co-operation (Kenya and Uganda) and vice versa. Travelers who proceed to Tanzania after the transit of fewer than 12 hours at infected areas or directly -nonstop- from un-infected areas are still advised, but not compelled, to get immunized against yellow fever.
Note: Travels from Tanzania mainland & Zanzibar are not subjected to any yellow fever restrictions

· Chickenpox (Varicella).
· Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis.
· Flu (influenza).
· Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR).
· Polio.
· Shingles.
