The day ride starts at Ngongongare Gate and you will explore the lower part of the park. Found north of the Ngorongoro Conservation in the Great Rift valley, the pink soda lake is home to millions of flamingos. Riding from the traditional Masai bomas across vast plains teamed with wildlife, the area appears even more stunning.
This highly alkaline lake calcifies and mummifies animals who are not adapted to it so it means death to some of the animals. But the lake is also home to over two million pink flamingos. The Natron is decorated with the only active volcano in Africa, Oldonyo Lengai (Mountain of God).
